The slats on the Lumen are solid wood, not a veneer or printed film over plastic. That difference shows in three places: the edges do not peel, the surface takes a knock without exposing a substrate, and the grain runs true through the thickness of each slat. It is the difference between a panel that still looks right years later and one that starts lifting at the corners.
Each panel fixes in place with adhesive or a nail gun, with no sub frame required. That makes it suitable for ceilings as well as walls, in homes and commercial spaces alike. The slat spacing also breaks up flat reflective surfaces, which softens echo in rooms with a lot of glass, plaster or hard flooring.
At 0.44 square metres of coverage per panel, planning a feature wall is simple: measure the area, divide by 0.44 and round up.
